The VG2437Smc 24” SuperClear® MVA Full HD Ergonomic Monitor features an integrated 2 megapixel webcam, echo-cancelling microphone and stereo speakers for seamless compatibility with all video and web conferencing software. The SuperClear® MVA panel delivers super wide 178° viewing angles and incredible contrast. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.2a, DVI and USB for maximum compatibility. With ViewSonic Blue Light Filter, Flicker-free technology and a height adjustable, ergonomic stand the VG2437Smc offers perfect comfort for enhanced productivity.

Monitor and wireless setup

“By using a stand-up desk you no longer need to hunch in front of a laptop or webcam while in conferences or on Skype calls. In our setup we used a ViewSonic VG2437S which comes with a webcam built-in. It can be twisted or tilted so it sits at the perfect height allowing you to work all day without neck injury. We have noticed lower back pains when working looking down at the laptop, which went away when using the monitor on the stand-up desk. Also standing up while on a webcam makes you feel more alert and more engaged, at least in our experience.”

“Irrespective of whether one is using Skype or any other videoconferencing applications for business or other purposes, one wants to get on with the task in hand without avoidable distractions. Having everything integrated within the monitor is extremely useful and, if one takes into account the additional costs of external camera and speakers and the overall quality of the unit the SRRP of £299 ex VAT price is not unreasonable. However, the Amazon price is just £203 although not currently in stock “but order now and we’ll deliver when available” sounds very attractive. 4/5”
